The Brewery Has A New Fridge

After 2 hours of driving, tons of complaining by my cousin Freddy and sliding a 400lb fridge down 15 warehouse steps, we finally have a new fridge in the brewery so we can install a corny keg tasting center in the corner. Not bad for $50.00

Future Brewer

Brewing, like most culinary activities, becomes a family task and allows for great memories. The other night while bottling a batch of Ginger Sison (ready to drink next monday the 18th), my son showed interest in helping out. I put him right on the bottling line and efficiency immediately increased lol. He did a great job. Check out this picture of him working.

Family Tasting

I brought over some of the “Creamy American” and “Screw The Flu” for the family to taste. Everyone enjoyed the Creamy American and easily knocked down 2 glasses. The Screw The Flu did not get the same response. I might of stretched the bounds to far by adding 2 full pound of dark brown sugar and some nutmeg. I’m going to let it condition for another week and try again.

Test tube tasting

Moved the breakfast stout over to the secondary today after 10 days of some ferocious bubbling. We are aiming for a final ABV of 12.5% but we might fall a little short. After some calculations before moving to the secondary we are right at about 9%. I don’t think it will climb more than another 1.5 % over the next 2-3 weeks but lets see. Maybe after the secondary and […]
